You will have fifteen minutes to prepare, then you will present on Monday. Prep Work: Please watch the Shakespeare Insults video, then read and complete the paraphrasing activity. CE 9 - Today, we created our personal timelines. Please complete these by Monday. ELA B10 - Today, we recapped Act I, Scene ii. Then we prepped, read, and recapped Act I, Scene iii.

ELA 9 - Today, we took our learning about the Theatre and applied it to how Shakespeare and his actors would have needed to arrange their play based on the set up in the Globe Theatre. We looked at the advantages and disadvantages. CE 9 - Today, we finally completed our SPIES booklet. Your personal creed is due tomorrow. ELA B10 - Today, we reviewed how to get the most out of a graphic novel (see your page for links). We also did an intro to Act I, Scence i, and then we began reading our graphic novel of Macbeth.
Homework: Please read Act I, Scene ii on your own (p. 8-11) and make a few notes about the plot. ELA 20 - Today, we created plot diagrams for 'First Day of School." We then read "Credo" by Robert Fulghum from our "Recollections of School' handout. ELA 9 - Today, we worked on effective questioning techniques to find information, our grammar booklets, and talked about strategies to "decode" Shakespeare. Prep Work: Read through/make notes on the theatre as well as the five major events of the Renaissance. We will take these up in class on Thursday/Friday. Ethics 9 - Today, we completed our SPIES booklet. ELA B10 - Today, we got our library books. Silent reading begins tomorrow. We went through information on how to read a graphic novel (check out your class page for a link), as well as some introduction to Macbeth.

Your after reading questions are due tomorrow. ELA 9 - Today, we went to the library. Upon our return, we went through examples of literary terms that you need to know for Romeo and Juliet. See your page for a copy. Ethics 9 - We finished off the "Who Am I" worksheet. We went through the "Social' section of the SPIES worksheet. Christia Happy Belated Groundhog's Day! According to Canada's leading groundhog, Wiarton Willie, we will have six more weeks of winter. This seems to happen every year.
ELA B10 - Today, we completed our Shakespeare Jigsaws with our letter groups. You now have all the background information on Shakespeare that you will need before we start the Macbeth-specific information. We also went through "Macbeth in a Nutshell" (see your webpage for a copy). ELA 20 - Today, we completed a plot diagram for Amy Tan's "Two Kinds." We began our reading of "First Day of School" (W.O. Mitchell) with pre-reading questions. Homework: Finish reading "First Day of School." ELA 9 - Today, we went through the Flipped Classroom and Outcomes-Based Grading information and rubrics. We had a Q and A session together with Ms. Proch's class to answer any questions/concerns you may have. Please take this information home and discuss it with your parent(s)/guardian(s).
