I received some feedback that the daily run downs were not very useful. I'm going to see how things go if I don't post a daily run down for the next little while. Let me know if you miss them. Math 9 - Today, we went through example 6 and 7 from your notes. Please note: your assignment is NOT due tomorrow. We will go over some problem solving strategies tomorrow and example 8. ELA 9 - Today, we learned about how to write a good thesis statement. Check out your page later this week to review the videos from Shmoop. Social 9 - Today, we watched The Incredible Human Journey, Part 2 (Journey into Asia). Psych 20 - Today, we finished up the chart on researched methods. We then learned about independent and dependent variables within the experimental method.
Math 9 - Today, we continued on Section 2.3. Please complete p. 68 # 7 - 10 for Monday. ELA 9 - Today, we finished writing our 11-point paragraphs. Please have a good copy (legibly written) handed in to me on Monday. Social 9 - Today, we finished off our webquests in the computer lab. Psych 20 - Today, we finished up our posters on psychological research types. We then started informally presenting them (until we got interrupted by picture day). We'll finish them up tomorrow. If you were away today, make sure you get the notes from a classmate!
Math 9 - Today, we started the Section 2.3 notes. Please finish p. 68 # 5, 6 for tomorrow. ELA 9 - Today, we went through "Common Big Bad Grammar Errors" (check out your page tomorrow for the update and the videos we watched). We then started working on our 11-Point persuasive paragraphs. Social 9 - Today, we did a webquest on www.becominghuman.org. Psych 20 - Today, we divided into groups to learn about different types of experimental design. We then made posters about each. We will come together tomorrow to present and make notes for ourselves about each type of experimental design.
Math 9 - Today, we wrote our Section 2.1 and 2.2 quiz. After we finished we played the dice game "Fraction of Attraction." For rules so you can play at home, please see Ms. Thibeault. ELA 9 - Today, we finished writing our 11-Point Paragraph as a class. We then wrote our own persuasive paragraph. Please have this done for tomorrow. Social 9 - Today, we started our adventures into Current Events with a belated #TrendingTuesday. Handouts can be found on your class page later this week. Psych 20 - Today, we learned about participant bias, had a mini quiz to check our understanding about bias, and discussed the placebo effect. If you were away, make sure you get the notes from someone if you were away.
Math 9 - Today, we finished up the notes for Section 2.2. For homework, please complete p. 60 # 12, 15, 17, 18. ELA 9 - Today, we went over the Short Story Plot line for Charging Batteries and then learned how to write an 11-Point Paragraph. Social 9 - Today, we wrote our super fast little quiz on BBC's The Incredible Human Journey. Afterward, we learned about what World View is, along with the fourteen key aspects of culture that we will focus on this semester. |
